Attendance
Attendance every day, every class period is key to student success. To ensure student safety and accurate reporting, please follow the guidelines below.
Reporting an Absence
When calling or messaging to excuse an absence, please leave a succinct message with the following details:
- Student's full name and ID number
- Parent/Guardian name
- Date(s) of the absence
- Specific reason for the absence (Note: Generic terms like "appointment" cannot be accepted; please state the nature of the appointment, e.g., medical, dental, personal).
Absences that have not been cleared within 48-72 hours may result in discipline, including detention, Saturday School, and referral to SART (Student Attendance Review Team).
Early Release Policy
To request an early release for your student, please observe our campus safety requirements:
- Notice Requirement: A 3-hour advance notice is required for all early release requests. Leave a message containing the student's name, ID number, parent name, reason for release, and whether the student will return to campus later that day.
- Short-Notice Pickups: If you cannot provide 3 hours' notice, a parent/guardian must come into the main office in person with valid identification to sign the student out.
- End-of-Day Window: Students cannot be released from class during the final 20 minutes of the school day.

Health Office
If a student is sick and needs to go home, the student will go to the health office during passing time or at lunch. If the student is sick during class time, the teacher will give the student a pass to go to the health office. The nurse will arrange for parent approval for student to leave campus and disperse an off campus pass to the student.
Students are not allowed to leave campus without an off-campus pass, either from the health office due to sickness or the attendance office for appointments.
